Privacy policy

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions. This information describes how the Austrian Society for Probiotic Medicine (OePROM) (‘we’) processes the personal data and personal interests (‘data’) collected from you.

1. Processing of your data

All data that you provide to us when you conclude a contract with us (e.g. booking an event) or send us an enquiry (e.g. question about an event) will be used by us – unless you have given your consent for further data processing – exclusively for the purposes required to fulfil the contract or respond to your enquiry (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)).

Only if you give your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR will we also use the data you provide to us with this consent for other purposes, such as sending you scientific information in newsletters, etc. The exact purpose of use is specified in the respective declaration of consent. Consent to the processing of your data is given on a voluntary basis and you can refuse this consent without any detrimental consequences for you.

It is possible to withdraw your consent at any time, whereby we would like to point out that even after this withdrawal, we may continue to process all data that is necessary for the fulfilment of contracts or legal obligations. Until we receive your cancellation, your data may be lawfully processed by us.

If you withdraw your consent to the processing of your data, you will not suffer any disadvantage and we will no longer send you any advertising information.

2. Transmission of your data to recipients

Your data will be transmitted to us with your consent. In addition, we outsource individual data processing operations to external service providers. Your data is only made accessible to these so-called processors to the extent that it is necessary for their services. Processors are also subject to the strict provisions of data protection law and are bound to the processing purposes that we contractually specify to them, i.e. they may not use your data for other purposes.

We make your data accessible to the following processors:

In addition, your data will be transmitted to Institut AllergoSan pharmazeutische Produkte Forschungs- und Vertriebs GmbH and Institut AllergoSan Deutschland (privat) GmbH for the organisation of events and for use for information about events.

Some of these recipients are located outside the European Union (EU) or process your data there. We only transfer your data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection comparable to that of the EU (‘Privacy Shield’).

Your data will not be passed on to third parties for their commercial use unless you expressly agree to this in a separate declaration.

3. Storage time

We will only retain your data for as long as we reasonably deem necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes and as permitted by applicable law. In any case, we store your data for as long as statutory retention obligations exist or limitation periods for potential legal claims have not yet expired.

4. Data processing when using our website

Storage of access data in server log files

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is analysed exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person. No personal data is processed by these websites without your active involvement. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address, e-mail address) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis and requires the active completion and submission of a form. This data is only used for the direct sending of information by us that you have expressly requested (the exact purpose of use can be found in the respective declaration of consent).

Contact with us

If you contact us via the contact form on the website or by e-mail, the data you provide will be used exclusively to process your enquiry and will not be processed further without your explicit consent.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly and customised to your interests. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

Web analysis

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. We have concluded a corresponding contract with the provider for commissioned data processing. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our website.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses cookies to help the website analyse how users use the site. Your IP address is recorded but immediately pseudonymised (by deleting the last 8 bits). This means that only a rough localisation is possible. The information generated in this way is transferred to the provider’s server and stored there. Google uses this information on our behalf to analyse your use of our websites and to compile reports on website activity. Google stores the user data for a period of 50 months. You can prevent this by configuring your browser so that no cookies are stored. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. You can find more information on Google’s terms of use and data protection at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://policies.google.com/?hl=en&gl=en.

5. Your rights in connection with your data

Under applicable data protection law, you are authorised, among other things (subject to the requirements of applicable law)
